Your day with us will start when you are met by your courier and driver in one of our comfortable coaches provided by local company CJJ Coaches. From there we will drive to Lambourn Valley and Welford park with a comfort stop on route.

Upon arrival at Welford Park you will have the chance to roam through the Snowdrop bloom and beechwood trees of Welford Park and partake of a free tea or coffee in the Tea Tent.

After you have had free time to explore we will get back on the coach and drive to the Five Bells for a Pub Lunch.

We will then drive back to your pick up location with the potential for another comfort stop on the return journey.

Snowdrops

Also known as Galanthus Nivalis, the snowdrop is one of the first signs of spring, a common indicator of the changing seasons and a sign that more clement weather is coming. Not a native British plant, we are unsure when it came to our shores but we can speculate that it may have been grown as an ornamental plant. Most likely in the abbeys and monsters that populated Britain in the 16th century.

The snowdrop has a unique place in our collective culture, as a symbol of hope that spring is on its way and for better times ahead. Most commonly seen in large swathes, a single snowdrop for many years was viewed as unlucky or a sign of death, often placed on a coffin or memorial.

Used to treat headaches and as a painkiller the snowdrop is still used in many new forms of medicine.
